Job Description

Responsible for sorting, washing, assembling and sterilizing instruments and sets.  Operates sterilization and quality assurance equipment.  Responsible for tracking and controlling inventory for instruments and implantable by manual and computerized systems.  Responsible for case cart assembly and transport to customer.  Inspects instruments for proper operation; advises Supervisor of repair/replacement needs.  Responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality control records/logs.  Performs on-call duty to respond to customer needs as scheduled/needed.



  • High school graduate/GED
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician certification preferred
  • Hospital experience preferred
  • IAHCSMM certification required within one year of employment (CRCST)
  • Must be able to take call after hours, holidays, and weekends on rotational basis
