Wadley Regional Medical Center is licensed for 370 beds with a rich history of over a 100 years in the Texarkana area. The main campus is a Level 3 trauma center, Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Level 2 Stroke Center. The system also includes a small satellite facility which is 48 licensed beds and is located in Hope, Arkansas.
Wadley Regional is a member of Steward Health Care and is in the process of beginning construction on a replacement for the Texarkana facility scheduled to be completed by 2024.
Reporting to the President , the Director plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates, and controls the activities of the plant operations and maintenance functions, which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and utility systems and grounds of the hospital in an operative and safe working condition. The Director will assure competency of department personnel and will formulate and maintain the departmental budget. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all TJC, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
The Director is accountable for approximately 600,000 square feet of space in the main hospital campus and an additional 79,000 square feet of space in the satellite hospital facility in Hope, as well two MOBs, and several leased off campus locations.
A Degree in Facilities Management or related field is required. Three to Five years of hospital facilities management is preferred, as is a comprehensive understanding of Joint Commission and DNV accreditation as well as Life Safety standards. CHFM certification is preferred, as is OSHA, RCRA, or HAZWOPER certification.
The ideal applicant will be a leader and team builder, bringing a demonstrated knowledge of healthcare facilities operations and management. Strong fiscal management skills to ensure cost controls and management of FTEs to ensure the most effective use of system resources is also required
