ER Charge Nurse ~Sign On Bonus ~
Job Description
Provides leadership for staff while maintaining staffing and ensuring patient flow for individual ED shifts. Utilizes knowledge, skill and judgment in providing direct and indirect patient care. Participates in patient/family/staff education. Provides safe practices in all aspects of patient care activities. Maintains current knowledge and standards of professional nursing practice. All other duties required by Management. Makes patient care assignments based on skill, experience and acuity of patient. Directs and precepts staff as needed / assigned. Participates in Quality Process Improvements in department.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current BLS required.
- Current Texas or Compact State RN Licensure
- One year experience in ED/Supervision preferred.
- The following Certifications within 90 day of employment:
- NIHSS
- ACLS
- COAP
- ENPC
- TNCC
- ESI Triage
- NIMS Training
- ABGTraining
- PALS
