Location: Wadley Regional Medical Center

Utilizes knowledge and skills in procuring and processing drug orders under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Locates, identifies and retrieves appropriate medications. Pulls appropriate dosages according to medical orders. Transports/distributes medications as directed. Enters data accurately in computer system.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Current or eligible for State Pharmacy Technician certification and National Pharmacy technician certification; current or eligible for other certifications required by the state.
  • Previous experience as a hospital pharmacy technician preferred; ACPE or ASHP accredited course in compounding sterile preparations preferred.
