Physician Sales and Development Representative
Works to develop relationships with physicians and their office staff in order to communicate key programs and services available at the hospital while gathering and reporting information from the physician's office to the hospital that would assist the hospital in improving service to their offices.
Develops strategies and special projects/activities to achieve goals of increasing physician utilization of both inpatient and outpatient hospital service.
Routine in-person marketing contacts with physicians/ offices, and serves as a contact point for any issues the office encounters with the hospital and follow up with appropriate hospital department directors to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
Participates on hospital committees or task forces as needed to address operational issues that impact physicians and/or their office practice.
|Prior medical sales experience and knowledge of hospital services/operations and new developments in the healthcare industry. Strong communication techniques.
BS Degree in Nursing, Marketing or Business preferred.
Demonstrates personal initiative, poise, confidence, accepts challenges. Have a proven hospital/sales background. Demonstrates persuasive negotiating skills; articulate in both written and oral communication. Knowledge of physicians, their referral patterns and hospital departments is very helpful. Demonstrates good time management and organizational skills. Must be customer and results oriented. Good listening skills are mandatory.
